COMPETITIONS
A number of competitions will be conducted on the night.  Prizes will be given for best cardboard box design, most money raised by an individual, most money raised by an organization/team, most colourful beanie. 
Therre will also be other "fun" events such as egg and sppon races in sleeping bags.....

RULES & REGULATIONS
-Minors (under the age of 18 years) must be accompanied by an adult.  Proof of age may be required.  No more than 3 minors per supervising adult.
-No lighting fires
-The use of electronic devices restricted after 11.00pm.  Mobile phones should be placed on silent.
-Smokers to utilise designated smoking areas for the comfort of others.
-All bags, backpacks, boxes are subject to inspection at any time.  Please do not leave bags unattended at any time.
-Participants under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.  One adult may be responsible for up to 3 children.
-General safety and respect for other participants will be expected at all times.
-Please wear your wristband at all times.
IMPORTANT NOTES FOR THE NIGHT
Refreshments - Free hot beverages and soup will be available on the night.  Limited snacks will be available.  Participants are encouraged to bring their own snacks.  A BBQ sausage sizzle breakfast in the morning.
Toilet facilities – Refer to site map.
First Aid – First Aid is located in the building adjacent the basketball courts.  Refer to site map.
Accident / Incident – Please approach security personnel or marshals wearing green jackets to report any accident or incident.
Emergency – In the event of an emergency, please move quickly through one of exits and gather at the Emergency Meeting Point.
Noise – Please consider others who may wish to sleep and observe a silence curfew from midnight to 5.00am.
Gate closure – All participants leaving the event after 10.00pm will not be readmitted.
Weather – In the event of extreme weather the event may be relocated to the school hall.
Lost property – Located at the information/registration desk.
Thank you for your interest in the fifth "Jimbo’s Sleepout" held in the Tweed district. Jimbo was a very special dear friend of ours and this "Sleepout" has been arranged in his honour.
Your support by taking part helps to build a bridge towards a brighter future for those less fortunate than ourselves and importantly, assists in raising community awarenesss about the plight of those who need our care, concern and most of all support and love. 
We hope your experience sleeping outdoors will be a memorable and rewarding one.
PARKING / TRANSPORT
Parking is available at the event and we encourage carpooling.  See site map for parking areas.
A drop off zone is located near the main entrance. 
Surfside busline route 607 has a limited service nearby the event.  Go to www.surfside.com.au
WHAT TO BRING:
-Mat, plastic sheeting, thick cardboard box to lie on.
-Warm clothes, warm clothes, warm clothes,
       socks, beanies, scarves and gloves.
-Sleeping bag, blankets and pillow
-Torch
-Sponsorship form and money collected - if possible
-Snacks

NB: The organisers accept no responsibility for any loss or damage of possessions or valuables on the night.

ON ARRIVAL
Upon arrival please ‘check-in’ at the Registration Desk where all
sponsorship forms and money will be collected.  An entry wristband
will be provided to you and this shall be worn at all times.  Only registered
sleepers will be allowed to sleep out.
Once you have your wristband you can set up your cardboard box in the
designated sleeping area.

PROGRAMME
4.00pm    - Registration and issue of wristbands.  Only registered sleepers wearing      
                wristband will be allowed in the event.
6.00pm    - Welcome and speakers
7.30pm    - Competition prizes and giveaways
10.00pm  - Gates closed.  All participants leaving the venue after this time will not be able to re-enter. 
11.00pm  - Lights out and noise restrictions apply.
6.00am    -  BBQ breakfast sausage sizzle
7.30am (apprximately) - Lexie arrives on completion of her Rollerblade Marathon from Pottsville to Banora Point
8.00am    - Start to head home !!!

Jimbo's Sleepout
-Wilful damage or vandalism to St Josephs College or individual personal property will result in expulsion from the event and legal action may be taken.

-Possession of fireworks, weapons of any kind, alcohol or any illegal substances will not be permitted and those in possession will be required to leave the event.

-Behaviour that may disrupt the event or other participants will not be tolerated.

-All photography and video footage recorded at the event may be used for promotional purposes by You Have A Friend.
