Our Breakfasts and Lunches

As of 22nd July 2008, we are hosting breakfasts and lunches for our friends, each week. at Murwillumbah (Sunday morning) and lunches (Thursday).

With a dedicated team of rostered volunteers, we travel to specified areas, where our friends eagerly await our arrival. Not only for a bite to eat, but also the friendship we are able to share with them.

As a volunteer, I can speak first hand of the absolute love and satisfaction that we volunteers receive is beyond words. It is a most rewarding and satisfying experience to be able to share and receive  so much love and friendship from our friends.

On arrival at our dedicated "brekkies and BBQ's" in Murwillumbah, in most cases, our friends are there waiting for us.

Cerial, fruit, eggs, sausages, toast, tea, coffee and juice are our standard and each of our friends is served his/her breakfast as near as possible to what they request. Lunches are sausages, bread,

fruit supplied by our volunteers.

At the end, it's pack up, clean up, provide packs of fruit etc. and

then home.

For me, it is one of the most satisfying experiences as we bid our farewells to our friends, to humbly accept their appreciation and to have them tell us they "couldn't eat anymore".

Yes........ so satisfying.

We are constantly looking for sponsors to assist us in our lunches and brekkies as we are 100% self funded and would appreciate any support possible. We have costed a meal and estimate that

each meal costs approximately $1.25 per person.

At present we have 20 - 30 persons at Murwillumbah on Sundays mornings, and can be up to 50 people at lunch and the numbers are steadily growing as word gets out.

We are in the process of planning outreaches in Kingscliff, Pottsville, Mullumbimby, not to mention the outlying areas of Uki and beyond.

If you would consider sponsoring a breakfast or lunch on a regular basis, or simply just as a one-off, we would be most appreciative and should you wish, we are quite prepared to advertise your support on our website and newsletters.
